The installation consists of a set of swimming pool lockers and concealed within is a 3D speaker system designed by the artist playing sounds of a local swimming pool he recorded. Listening through the bottom locker doors there appears aurally to be a large swimming pool space.
On the side of the lockers is a story which has been broken up to look like posters and messages. The emotional quality of the language within the text deliberately has gaps to allow the readers own emotions in; this is reflected within the placement, separation and recontextualization of sections of the text as posters and notices. The artist is relating a childhood personal story in which the kind of event taking place might also be familiar to the reader in some way; swimming lessons then eating afterwards in a cafe with mum.
