This installation looks similar to the inside of a lift / elevator, there is a wall mounted polished
aluminium panel, and the buttons are flat speakers playing a pre-recorded composition by the artist. The composition contains sounds
with relatively
long silences in between. The silences are an important part because the installation
depicts a moment of silence, one might experience in a lift. The installation's appearance
as a lift gives the viewer something to focus on visually, and mentally, possibly distracting them from other
outside sources of sound. Because of this, there is a reaction provoked in the viewer, they are waiting for the next sound,
just as if one is waiting for their floor.
