Supermoon

Timothy Crowley 2013 Collaboration between Timothy Crowley and Kate Ogley

Film footage of the recent Supermoon and field recordings of estuary sound create a meditative installation concerning our connection to the moon and its influence both on the natural world and our imagination.

This sound and projection installation was shown on the flat roof of The Ark barge moored at Jubilee Wharf, it was part of a School of Noises event for the Penryn Arts Festival. It was coincidentally backdropped by the rising of the next months full moon over the harbour waters.

The soundtrack is generative, an onsite computer reworks sound samples of swans and ducks with their young (recorded at Swanpool nature reserve) into a new and endless composition.
